On Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Sintang Regent’s Pavilion, Relung Indonesia witnessed the significance of collaboration between the Sintang Regency Government and development partners during the Public Consultation on the 2025 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) and the 2024 Development Partner Awards. The event, which began at 08:30 WIB, was attended by various stakeholders from the government, private sector, media, academia, and community organizations.
The event opened with a speech by the Regional Secretary of Sintang Regency, Mr. Kartiyus, SH, M.Si. He presented materials related to the 2024 Development Partner Awards and the 2025 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) of Sintang Regency. Mr. Kartiyus explained the development approach adopted by Sintang Regency, namely Sintang Collaborative Governance (SCG).
This SCG approach emphasizes the importance of collaboration among various elements, from the government (national to village levels), the private sector, media, academia, and the community. This cooperation has involved 33 partners working in 14 sub-districts and 133 villages, focusing on 12 sectors including education, health, infrastructure, and disaster management. From 2021 to 2023, Sintang Regency has received over IDR 50 billion in contributions from partner programs.
The event continued with the announcement of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award categories for Sintang Regency in 2024. The evaluated categories included:
Mr. Kartiyus explained that the CSR Awards assessment covers several aspects, including:
Following Mr. Kartiyus’s presentation, Mr. Kurniawan, S.Sos, M.Si, presented the 2025 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD). In 2025, the Sintang Regency Government faces various strategic issues that are the focus of the RKPD. These issues include poverty reduction, basic infrastructure development, improving the quality of education and health, and increasing regional productivity. Additionally, strengthening bureaucratic reform agendas, developing the Sungai Kelik Border Post (PLBN), maintaining economic growth stability and equity, optimizing sustainable development, and implementing the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) are also main priorities.
The 2025 RKPD includes 10,784 proposed activities consisting of 6,026 proposals from villages, 1,972 proposals from the Work Plan of Regional Apparatus Organizations (RENJA OPD), 2,762 proposals from the Council’s suggestions (POKIR DPRD), and 24 regional priority activities. The projected funding requirement to realize all these proposals amounts to IDR 8,862,666,065,834. However, the projected financing from the Regional Budget (APBD) only reaches IDR 2,068,113,658,799, necessitating an effective and efficient financing strategy.
In implementing the 2025 RKPD, the Sintang Regency Government adopts the Pentahelix approach, involving cooperation among the government, community, private sector, academia, and media. This approach is expected to increase participation and synergy among various stakeholders, ensuring that all planned programs and activities run smoothly and provide maximum benefits for the people of Sintang Regency.
At the end of the session, the Regent of Sintang, Dr. H. Jarot Winarno, M.Med.Ph., delivered a speech, expressing gratitude and emphasizing the importance of sustainability and collaboration to achieve sustainable development goals in Sintang Regency.
The Regent then led a discussion where partners shared their experiences regarding activities and initiatives they had undertaken in Sintang Regency. This discussion became an important forum for evaluating achievements, identifying challenges, and formulating future strategies together.
The Public Consultation on the 2025 RKPD and the 2024 Development Partner Awards marked an important moment to strengthen the synergy between the government and development partners. With solid collaboration, it is hoped that various programs and initiatives can be more effective and provide a greater positive impact for the people of Sintang Regency. The Sintang Collaborative Governance approach is expected to become a model of sustainable development that can be emulated by other regions.
